Passing of a great spirit:
Dear Ken Regennitter Relatives and Students,
I am so very saddened we have all lost this very special man who contributed to so many of us in so many many ways. He sure changed my life for the better by setting me on a long journey in the Amateur Athletic Union JuJitsu program as its chairman, a position he created and held himself for many years. Many people were served for many years because of Professor Ken’s achievement within AAU DZR JuJitsu recognition. I first met Ken at a Martial Arts camp where after many demonstrations of several styles of MA had ended with the camp directer stating, “ We had a JuJitsu demonstration, but I think its off because his partner could not attend”. Well, it was at that point Ken looked around and noticed my JuJitsu patch and said loudly for all to hear, “ I hope you take falls because we are demonstrating JuJitsu to these people, my name is Ken, what is yours?” Well! needless to say his demonstration was impeccable, several people started to laugh how we had duped them by making them think we did not know each other; I don't think we ever did convince everyone that indeed we had never met before that moment. LOL In any case it was solely a JuJitsu camp for the remaining week, everyone wanted to learn what Ken has demonstrated. May God Bless Ken’s Spirit and give comfort to all those who his great spirit has touched in so very many ways.
Herb LaGue
PS: Thank you Ken, I know you will now be overlooking class in our dojo.
Professor LaGue and several Bushidokan black belts will be teaching classes in Israel for three weeks beginning December 10th!

Lama Jigme Rimpoche Classes - a Flyer is available here.
His plan is to give teachings (Classes) on the Buddhist
principles of compassion and emptiness and
inspire people to live a peaceful life, and develop
a genuine compassionate heart.
• discuss and answer questions
• in depth teachings on Tsa lung trulkor.
• Benefits on Tibetan Yoga
• And much, much more
Lama Jigme Rimpoche is the carrier of the Chandza Lineage. He was born in Amdo, Tibet, near the Blue Ocean Lake in 1956. With the help of his family he was able to study with his teachers, Rigdzin Jigme and Rikung Aku Sherab, throughout his childhood. Afterward, he went into retreat in mountains, caves and forests for over ten years, where he accomplished a deep realization of compassion and emptiness. Subsequently, he moved back to his birthplace and on to Lhasa, where he lived for about 5 years. He received numerous transmissions from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and, in 1991, after many difficulties, made his way to Dharamsala, India.
After teachings from the Dalai Lama, Penor Rinpoche and Kamtul Rinpoche, His Holiness verified Lama’s understanding of Buddhist values like compassion and emptiness. After teachings from the Dalai Lama, Penor Rinpoche and Kamtul Rinpoche, His Holiness verified Lama’s understanding of Buddhist values like compassion and emptiness. He was exceptionally touched by his answers. He decided to build a monastery in the forest in Dharamsala for Rinpoche to carry out his practices and ceremonies.

To Prof. LaGue 11-19-2009
Prof LaGue from Nilosan
Here are the official dates for next year's 2010 Hawaii Zenyo Jujutsu Kai Summer Camp: August 5, 2010 through August 10, 2010, five nights six days. Check in is on Aug. 5th at 3pm, and check out is on Aug. 10th at noon. I will be sending you reminders every few months or so
From Prof. Mclaughlin 11-19-2009 A truly outstanding camp this year. I'll let Nilo do the review. He organanized and ran the entire camp from beginning to end. Even did the cooking! I am very proud of him and all of our students, we had a great turn out, amazing instructors including Kumu Alva Andrews (hanai DZR familyfrom the lomi-lua side). We need to put this up on our own web site as well. Normally the emphasis on our camps are DZR family only. Our camps are a reward and for the enjoyment of our ohana. It is also great we get such outstanding instructors as Prof LaGue and Kumu Andrews, and Kumu Nakamine(hula - which we are having another jujitsu-hula class next week).
Ecuador News!
Our New Sandan Joseph Milne is now in Ecuador teaching Prof. LaGue Zenyo Police arts to the GOE Special Police Force. We had the honor of hosting 4 officers from some of our Ecuador Dojos,
SBTE. Jairo Bolaños Alarcon, SBTE. Hector Gustavo Nuñez Caceres, CHOP. Joffre Orlando Fuentes Gomez, and CBOS. Noe Saul Parra Berrones for 3 weeks in October 2009. All four of our Dojo brothers were promoted to the Bushiokan Dojo rank of Sankyu. These Ecuadorian SWAT team members traveled to Nevada primarily for Jujitsu training at the Bushidokan Martial Arts Temple in Sparks by Sensei Herb LaGue. Professors from the dojo (or martial art school) have traveled to Ecuador for nine years to train elite police forces in Jujitsu, a martial arts system that uses balance, leverage and momentum to overtake opponents. Fallon's Sensei John Shipley of Koshinkan has also helped train visiting Ecuadorian forces.
A recent note from Joe Here.
This day marks the end of the first week of a new Bushidokan jujutsu course for the GOE police in Guayaquil Ecuador and I could not be more pleased with the progress that has already been made. These elite members of the Ecuadorian police quickly learn and apply the beginning principles of our system of Bujutsu incredibly fast. From an instructor's view point, they make the "ideal" student. Already we have gained the attention of some of the high ranking officials in GOE and there is talk of expanding the course to the cities Quito and Rio Bamba. I have been informed that when the course in Guayaquil is complete, I am to select 3 or 4 of my finest students and together we will travel to other locations in the country to instruct larger groups of personnel. I am very pleased for this, as this allows me to retain a small core group of students that will train with me daily and to whom, in time, I will be able to teach the deeper teachings. It is my hope that in time I will be able to craft fine instructors within the ranks of GOE.
Best wishes to my brothers and sisters of the Bushidokan Federation.
Sincerely, Joseph Milne - Sandan"

NEWS On November 1, 2008 There was a special class at the Koshinkan Dojo in Fallon, NV.
Several people from the Bushidokan were able to attend, including: Shodai Herb Lague, Profs. Bob Karnes, Mike Miller, Mike Werth, Nidans Alicia Karnes, Irene Lapuz-Belisle, Jason Lapuz-Belisle, and Yokyu, Kathy.
During that class our Federation had two new promotions to the rank of Nidan (Black II). They were Kyle and Dustin both of the Koshinkan.
Irene and I would like to extend our congratulations and welcome both Kyle and Dustin for being recognized and joining us at the 'Instructors Rank.'
During the class all of the Dan ranks had the opportunity to teach an art. Both Kyle and Dustin showed/taught good combinations and variations of arts that demonstrated why they deserve to be recognized at the higher rank.
After the class, many of us had the opportunity to hang out and have pizza. It was a great pleasure to get the time to further socialize with all of our brothers and sisters at the Koshinkan.
Thanks for the great time!

Distinguished delegates from more than 120 nations will participate, including many leading representatives of governments, religions, civil societies, academia, the private sector, and the media.
Dear Professor LaGue,
A unique occasion- the celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Washington Times- has led to not one, but two, consecutive international seminars focused on the quest for peace and understanding for humankind. From May 15-18, the International Leadership Conference (ILC)-cosponsored by the Universal Peace Federation and The Washington Times Foundation- will be held at the Washington (DC) Plaza Hotel. The ILC will include participation at The Washington Times 25 th Anniversary Banquet, held in the National Building Museum on the evening of May 17.
From May 18-19, the Ambassadors for Peace Leadership Seminar (APLS) will be held-also at the Washington Plaza Hotel. The APLS is sponsored solely by the Universal Peace Federation.
Because of your own work for peace and reconciliation, you are cordially invited to attend both seminars, with travel and room costs covered by the sponsors.
Thank you for your consideration of this special invitation. I hope that your busy schedule will allow you to attend both seminars. Therefore, I look forward to meeting you here in the nation's capital.
Sincerely,

Homepage post 4/20/07.02
It’s been a long time since I have had time to update news pictures to our homepage however events and requests for pictures have compelled me to take keyboard in hand and make an attempt to cover the many extraordinary trips and events of the past few years. The last twelve months alone includes Israel, Egypt, Florida, Maine, Two Islands in Hawaii, Japan, Korea, and Ecuador, the air miles keep adding up. The Photo link at left will take you through many Albums, note; some are under construction and marked as coming SOON, uploads to old, current, and new albums and updates will be weekly.
Let’s travel backwards through time as we look into the Bushidokans incredible history of TRUE Ohana, Kokua, and Service to others.
The most recent event took place April 6th, when we gave testimony in Carson City at the Legislature Building Senate Judicial room 2149, against a bill which would have clearly erode our constitutional rights. After giving testimony the bill was rejected and we were followed out of the building and given assurances there would be no more attempts to present further bills infringing in this area of our constitutional rights, I must say that we were well received with the respect and dignity one would expect.
Speaking of constitutional rights and in reply to some recent questions, the Bushidokan Federation has adopted The United States of America Constitution as not only rights of our USA members but also ethical guidelines for members both inside and outside of the USA. Ohana (Family), Kokua (Mutual assistance) and simple constitutional rights merge serve to maintain integrity of our declared articles and goals of incorporation and also to provide spiritual guidance and example of the original intended meanings and actions within Ohana (Family), and Kokua (Mutual assistance).
Having declared the above, it should be noted that the Bushidokan International Corporation Sole is a Spiritual body of Sensei (School Heads), Dojos (Schools), under a traditional Martial Arts structured hierarchy committed in maintaining the integrity of “Absolute Autonomy within each and every dojo” through a traditional “Sensei supreme authority hierarchy”. The Bushidokan International Corporation Sole Professors only tasks are to honestly serve needs and reward excellence within the context of our mutually declared, ideology, principals, and goals.
Let’s now beam back to early March at which time I received an e-mail from my old friend Professor Paolo Tioli in Italy asking, what I was doing and congratulating me for starting the Bushidokan Federation. Brother Paolo further indicating, now I had changed my past federation association, he was interested in becoming involved with our NEW International Federation and its mission. After a few e-mails I invited Brother Paolo Tioli to join us on the following week teaching trek in Ecuador, and to my pleasant surprise he had obtained a ticket within a few days.
March 14th 10:05 AM departure to Ecuador, the day was full of removing shoes, belts and jumping through hoops for the security people, hummmm! There must be some very bad karma headed towards ALL those behind terrorism. Travel for me can be much better than going to the zoo for I am a people watcher and find all my time in airports and other places that people gather very entertaining. I have also been iPoded, it’s a great way to travel having both ears bathed with inspiring music, time and flights seem to pass too quickly rather than drag on and on. I have always a variety of music and for the past year have been captivated by the voice of Israelis David DeOr, and French singers Isabelle Boulay, Laurence Jalbert, Luce Dufault, and rock singer Eric Lapointe.
Upcoming Ecuador is a most beautiful and bountiful country, and for me, that feeling of coming home. Each time landing in Guayaquil I flash on all of the people which are (Ohana) family there, for I have found each and every of my five trips to Ecuador to be filled with family events, activities, seminars, movies, beaches, boats, SCUBA, even Ohana school graduations and other family activities throughout the excellent hosting and activities provided us. Tourist may not have the same experiences or feelings because of their different perspective however I am sure Ecuador must be seen as stunning, and a wonderful place to simply visit and play as a tourist. I would highly recommend placing Ecuador high on ones list of places to visit, especially if you are a Bushidokan Federation member.
What did we find in Ecuador this year?

TRUE Ohana (Family), Kokua (Mutual assistance) and! Another “HOME”
Preface:
Before going further I am compelled to preface the following with what will become evident reason as one gleans from our extraordinary experiences within the Ecuador trek of 2007.
As I am sure most people are aware of our ongoing programs for development of conflict management within several areas of special operations, security, and police tactical training. The Bushidokan is named within several police tactical manuals and we have actively continued to develop special conflict management tactics which befit our ever-changing world; under water, skydiving, in aircraft, underground tunnels, even tactics in 0 gravity for NASA. For the past 36 years many Martial artiest and many others throughout the world have contributed towards these programs, and will ALL be named and recognized within our newest tactical police and security manuals now in development; also in coinciding law and languages for each country.
Ecuador Trek 2007:
March 15th arrival in Guayaquil,
Sr. Master Oswaldo Feijoo Alvarado and company of local Television team met Sr. Master Mike Miller, Pete Paulin and Myself at the Guayaquil International arrival gate with camera and microphones on high. It was very good to see everyone as happy to see us, as we were to see them, it was truly a great coming home reception. After the telecasted interview we all settled down for a short wait for Professor Paolo Tioli’s flight to arrive from Italy.
Upon Brother Paolo’s arrival we all headed out onto the highway to the coastal beach town of Salinas where we met and stay a few days with Chuden/Anila, our Nun from India and long student from the Bushidokan; and where she is building a healing arts center.
The next few days were R&R from the long flights nevertheless filled with beaches, food and absorbing the beautiful coastline and friendly people of Ecuador. See Photos
Upon arrival back to Guayaquil we check into very nice accommodations within the Groupo De Operaciones Especlaless Police Ecuador (GOE)

March 17 and 18th Bushidokan International Seminars in Sala de Judo Sports Center was attended by new, and many past, attendees; and was yet another feeling of homecoming and getting back together with family and great friends. Classes were one again attended by the Bank security police and several dojos. Professor Roberto Mueckai Sensei and his students of the Marubashi Dojo were once again the largest group in attendance, which has seemed to become a tradition. Everyone was great to work with and we all had an exceptional experience within a true spirit of Ohana (Family), Kokua (Mutual assistance). See Photos
